Our Eastside dispensary is surrounded by gorgeous, hard to beat views. Being so close to the Cascade Mountains and Snoqualmie River, this area is a popular destination for anyone looking to get outside and enjoy nature. We love exploring this area so much that we’ve rounded up some Snoqualmie trails to explore for anyone looking for a fun adventure.
We’ve previously highlighted our favorite strains for a summer walk, so if you’re looking to stock up on cannabis while you’re in the area, be sure to stop by Fireweed. (Just know that it’s illegal to consume cannabis on public land.)
First, A Few Notes
As we mentioned, public cannabis consumption is illegal in Washington state. Although these trails are all close to our North Bend area dispensary, we recommend readers stock up before or after visiting the trail and consume the products at home.
The trails in the area are beautiful, but the conditions are subject to change. Be sure to check the trail report before you visit any of these trails to be aware of road closures, dangerous trail conditions, and other factors that could impact your trip.
Be sure to pack snacks and water, too. It’s important to stay hydrated during the summer, especially if you’re hiking in the sun.
With that said, let’s look at some of the great trails nearby:
Franklin Falls
This is considered an easy out-and-back hike that accommodates children and dogs. The hike is two miles round trip with 400 feet of elevation gain and stunning views all around. But if you’re looking for solitude, this is not the place. Franklin Falls is a popular destination and the parking lot and trails are often bustling, especially on summer weekends.
It’s about a 30 minute drive from our dispensary near North Bend, so plan accordingly if you want to stock up on some great Eastside cannabis before or after your adventure.
Middle Fork Snoqualmie River Trail
While the Middle Fork Snoqualmie River Trail is an out-and-back experience, depending on your goals and preparedness, you may want to turn around at some point before reaching the end. That’s because this trail is 12 miles long and as you get further in, the trail becomes more obviously overgrown. It’s still worth the trek if you’re into long hikes, though.
The relatively flat trail follows the river for a bit before becoming a woodsy oasis. At just about a 40 minute drive from our dispensary, you can easily stock up before or after your trip.
Deep Creek Trail
Starting at Azalea park, this trail connects to several other local Snoqualmie paths worth visiting. You can take the Deep Creek Trail north from Azalea park for a slightly-under 5 mile hike or turn around when it feels right. This trail is generally considered quiet and serves as a good place for anyone seeking solitude in their nature walk.
At just a 10 minute drive from Fireweed Cannabis Company, this trail is a convenient option for anyone traveling from Issaquah, Duvall, Carnation, Preston, or other nearby cities.
Snoqualmie Valley Trail
Beginning at the Duvall Park and Ride, this 32-mile trail is one you’ll want to hop on and off at your convenience. No matter how long or short you decide to make your walk, it will be worth the experience.
Enjoy the old railroad grate, forested hills, wildflowers, berries, and other delights as you walk along the trail. You don’t have to start at the Duvall Park and Ride, either. Washington Trails Association lists the following as access points: “McCormick Park, Nick Loutsis Park, 356th PL SE in Fall City (this trailhead provides wheelchair-friendly access), Rattlesnake Lake Recreation Area, and NE 4th & Ballarat Ave in North Bend.”
Meadowbrook Farm
This is a perfect choose-your-adventure experience featuring many loop trails, cedar trees, and great views of Mt. Si. Try out the Marie Louie trail (which is named after an early Snoqualmie medicine woman) for a quick ¼ mile jaunt. If you feel like going further, hop on the Dike Road Loop Trail, which goes another 0.75 miles for Mt. Si views.
The longest trail is 2.25 miles and visitors can sometimes catch a glimpse of the elk herd that passes by. At just about a 10 minute drive from our store, it’s a perfect detour on your way in or out of Fireweed.
